Chanchal - A Maseeha

It all started with one of those daily stupid chats with mark (Saurav). He gave me a link to a Bengali comedy natok called 'College Student'. I watched it. Had fun. Watched it again. Enjoyed. Really liked the lead role played by someone who, on the first appearance to me, looked like just another Bangladeshi actor with a good comic sense.

But no, he proved me wrong.

Because within the same week, I found myself watching atleast seven or eight more Natoks by him. And the week that followed, the number increased.

And thus, Chanchal Chowdhury got one more fan from India.

I don't think I am the right person to talk about his comic sense, timing, acting credibility and other things, but boy o boy... what an actor he is. I will be giving a list of links to some of his dramas at the end of this post, and you yourself will be able to judge it.

And thus, in the times of turbulence, in the times of war inside my head, in a time that is not that smooth, a time that is confusing, a time that needs waiting, and a time that needs faith on people, love, liking, happiness and all the good things on earth, one Chanchal Chowdhury managed to console me and made me smile everytime he was onscreen.

Special mention is one telefilm 'Dekha holo dujonar'. I cried, literally during the time I watched it. Especially when he talks with his brother over the phone, and when the actress Tisha reads his letter. What a story!

Okay, time for me to give the links.

College Student

Dekha Holo Dujonar

Bibaha

Bongsho Rokkhey

Pan Supari Bou

Chhaya Baji

Sinduk nama

First Book

Monpura (It's a full movie. A bit sad.)

So there you go. A list of the better ones amongst the ones I saw. Maybe it's time for you to go to those links and find out another world, the world of Chanchal Chowdhury? :)
