An advertise that made me wonder about love, after a long time

I wondered about it…love that is, and it came after a long time.

It is the advertise of a Cadbury…dairy milk or something. The lady character asks her husband, when was the last time he told her those three words, ‘I love you’. The man gets amazed by the subtlety of his wife…but soon gets back to his own self. He gets up, brings out a Cadbury from the refrigerator and gives it to her.

‘Just now…’ he said, as he handed over the Cadbury.

‘Oh, it’s just the Cadbury. The one thing you give me everyday…’ as she finishes her last words in amazement. She understands it’s everyday he tells her that he loves her, just another way.

The last two scenes are the only things that will remain a long time, in everyone’s heart. Just when she realises everything, the man closes his eyes for one moment, to say something to her, in silence. And in return, the lady too, closes her eyes, and lowers them, as a pinch of shyness gets attached to it. The commercial finishes at that very moment, but it leaves an everlasting effect to the viewers’ minds.

Many people around me have seen love, heard about love…some even experienced it themselves. For them, it is holding hands in public, caring for the other person, supporting the other person both mentally and physically, kissing in dark places and other things. They say if you cannot make the other person happy; while you are with him/her…there isn’t any love at all. Some say love comes from respect, but that’s arguable.

But nobody talks about trust. About being loyal. About compromisation. About the wonderful platonic aspects it has. Sometimes I wonder about love, standing or wandering in the most dark places of the city. I haven’t experienced it, being truthful to myself…well, but that doesn’t stop me speculate about it.

Yes well, I am a bit frustrated about my life, a bit deserted, a bit lonely, sad, dejected…and many a things that involve the negative aspects of life. But anyway, it doesn’t matter to me. Just thought about the short term romanticisms life brings to us, out of nowhere. The advertise showed me, somehow…that those moments of life have not died out, in the hassles of life.

  4. Thanks. Yes indeed, it's the smallest things of life through which a greater love is reflected towards people. :)
